Psychology & beyond
I graduated as MSc in Psychology from University of Copenhagen in 2002 and for many years I worked in business with coaching, facilitation and later on organizational development and strategic leadership. As a self-employed therapist and coach, I have in recent years expanded my toolbox as a psychologist with several educations and courses within body-oriented therapy and other fields. I use these skills for specific sessions, and as a background knowledge with all my clients. It has added new dimensions and greater therapeutic depth. Today my unique profile as a psychologist is:
Firmly rooted in scientific psychology
My university education, post-graduate training and authorization as a psychologist form the foundation for how I work with therapy, coaching and development. I draw on an array of psychological schools and evidence-based methods with the new approches called ACT and metacognitive therapy as the primary ones.
Shaped by more than fifteen years in operational, strategic and international business environments
Hands-on experience from my career in business influences how I look upon life and work. I have been there myself. For years I was a member of executive leadership teams, and worked with coaching and facilitation across Europe, India, USA and China.
Augmented by widely overlooked, but effective approaches to development and personal growth
I am a certified bodytherapist and - as you can read about below - generally a curious explorer of less travelled paths into human expansion and liberation. My broad insight into alternative approaches gives me a special twist as a psychologist.

New paths
I have a special interest in groundbreaking methods for helping people find new paths and get more out of life. Approaches that are rarely taught at universities. I am a certified practioner of different bodytherapies that can help address emotional blockages, unlock hidden resources and rebalance the body. I like to explore the ever-present potential of our breath, that can be used for emotional regulation, to alter our state of consciousness, and even to hack our way into the autonomous nervous system, and influence hormonal and immune responses. I have experienced shamanic and indigenous traditions, to learn how plant and entheogenic medicines can provide life-changing insights and stimulate positive neural and biochemical changes. I have practical and theoretical knowledge of the effect of both daily and deep transcendental meditation. My psychological toolbox is updated with new methods within metacognitive and mindfulness-based therapies. My knowledge about approaches beyond traditional psychology, coaching and therapy has become rich and is ever growing. Sometimes I integrate my know-how directly into sessions. In other instances, I guide my clients towards the relevant expertise elsewhere. Most of the time I just have it in the back of my mind. My journey, into an unknown territory of personal development, has given me a much broader repertoire for helping both private and business clients get more out of life.
